Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? You're not alone. At The Sherborne Practice, we're here to help you find your way through life's challenges, providing a space for exploration, growth and a deeper understanding of your inner self.
We provide counselling and psychotherapy services in Sherborne and the surrounding area, as well as sessions online and over the phone, making support accessible wherever you are.
Providing Integrative counselling and psychotherapy, we offer a warm, accepting space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. Whether you're an adult navigating life's complexities, a child struggling to make sense of your emotions, or a young person facing the challenges of growing up, we’re here to support you on your journey.
Counselling is a collaborative process where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It's a safe space to voice your concerns, gain insights, and develop new ways of coping with life's challenges.
Through our sessions, you may gain clarity on your thoughts and feelings, develop better coping strategies, improve your relationships, boost your self-esteem and confidence, and find ways to manage stress and anxiety.
Seeking help is a powerful step towards a happier, healthier you. Accessing counselling can feel daunting, and we are here to support you throughout your journey.
Life can be complicated. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or feeling stuck, we’re here to listen and help you find your way forward. Together, we'll explore your challenges and work on strategies to help you lead a more fulfilling life.
Growing up isn't always easy. We provide a nurturing environment where children can express themselves freely, often using creative methods like clay work or art. We'll work together to help your child understand and manage their emotions, building resilience and confidence along the way.
The teenage years can be a rollercoaster. We offer a judgement-free zone where young people can talk about anything that's on their mind – from school stress and friendship difficulties to deeper issues like anxiety or depression. Our goal is to help teens navigate this crucial time with greater ease and self-assurance.
All individual sessions, whether online, in-person, or by telephone, last 50 minutes. This allows us to explore your concerns while ensuring the session remains focused and productive. Couples counselling sessions are slightly longer at 75 minutes, providing additional time for both partners to express themselves and work through issues together.
Initial Consultation: Free 15-minute phone call
Individual Counselling: £60 for 50 minutes
(Online, in-person, or telephone)
Couples Counselling: £80 for 75 minutes

We understand that life can be unpredictable, but I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the full session fee will be charged.
We believe that therapy should be accessible to those who need it. Therefore, we offer a limited number of reduced-fee slots for individuals facing financial hardship. If you're concerned about the cost of therapy, please don't hesitate to discuss this with us in your initial consultation.
Your mental health is important, and we’re committed to working with you to find a solution that meets both your therapeutic and financial needs.
